DAS PARADIES AUF ERDEN
Multimedia theatre about the mechanisms of manipulation and power.
The piece is based on research and conversations with perpetrators and victims of dictatorship, hatred and persecution, past and present. It leads into the mechanisms of manipulation, abuse of power, demagoguery, exclusion and discrimination, shows how to recognise them and works with interactive elements.
Its means are artistic, not educational. The aim is to inspire young people for democratic values and to encourage their own commitment. The piece continues the idea of DAS ANDERE LEBEN.
For schools: school theatre groups can stage the piece themselves. They receive the text, a video analysis with directing recommendations, music, visual design elements and 10 days of rehearsal support from Thomas Darchinger.
